All Paddle Wanaka tours are subject to minimum participant numbers. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any trip at our sole discretion. If we cancel or postpone a trip, you’ll be offered a full refund or the chance to rebook. All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST. Unless otherwise stated, prices are valid from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 and may be updated without notice.
Neither Paddle Wanaka nor its staff, contractors, or affiliates accept any liability—whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or under any statutory duty—for any personal injury, illness, death, damage to property, or other loss that may occur while using our equipment, participating in tours, or using any of our services. Should liability be established for any reason, the maximum amount payable will be limited to the total fee you paid for that specific service or equipment hire.
By booking with Paddle Wanaka, you consent to being photographed or filmed during your experience. These images may be used for promotional, marketing, or social media purposes at Paddle Wanaka’s discretion.
Participation in any Paddle Wanaka tour or use of our equipment confirms your agreement to these terms.
General Cancellation
Paddle Wanaka may cancel or alter any booking due to weather, river or lake conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances. In this case, we will offer a reschedule or full refund.
Off-Peak Season (outside Dec 20–Jan 20 and school holidays):
We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for all cancellations or changes—regardless of the reason. Late cancellations (within 24 hours of departure) and no-shows are non-refundable and non-transferable. Bookings may only be rescheduled once.
Peak Season (Dec 20–Jan 20 and all NZ school holidays):
During peak times, a 48-hour cancellation policy applies. Cancellations or changes must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure. Bookings can be rescheduled once only. Cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows will not be refunded or transferred.
If you’re unable to attend due to COVID-19 symptoms, required isolation, or a government travel restriction (e.g., a return to Level 3 lockdown), you can reschedule or request a refund. If unwell, stay home and contact Healthline at 0800 358 5453.
Please note: Refunds are at the sole discretion of Paddle Wanaka management. Any credit card or bank surcharges are subject to third-party policies and may not be refunded.
Paddle Wanaka operates in a range of weather, but safety is our top priority. In the event of unsafe conditions (e.g. high winds, storms), we will aim to reschedule. If rescheduling isn’t possible, a full refund will be issued. Only Paddle Wanaka staff will determine weather cancellations based on conditions and local alerts. If we’re able to safely run the tour but you choose not to participate, no refund will be given.
When you book via our website, a confirmation email will be sent to you within 24 hours. If you misplace your ticket, we can retrieve your booking using your name, email, or contact number.
All Paddle Wanaka gift vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. If a booking is made using a voucher, our standard cancellation policies apply. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance (off-peak) or 48 hours (peak season) to retain voucher value. Failure to provide notice will result in the voucher being forfeited.
Full payment is required to confirm your booking. Unpaid bookings are not confirmed and may be released without notice.
