Full description

+

Paddling in the early evening transforms Lake Wānaka. As the day winds down, the light softens, the colours deepen, and the lake often becomes calm and reflective. The Golden Hour Bay Explorer focuses on these moments, taking time to enjoy the scenery rather than rushing from point to point.

The route explores some of the lake’s most scenic bays and shoreline, chosen by your guide based on conditions. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into the landscape, local history, and natural environment that make this area so special.

With a relaxed pace and small group size, there’s space to paddle comfortably, take photos, and simply enjoy being out on the water as the sun sets behind the mountains.
